- BIOGRAPHY
Amanda Carlota is an attorney at law. Prior to joining the Firm, she interned at the University of the Philippines Office of Legal Aid, the Office of the Solicitor General. Her initial exposure to IP work was during her stint in another IP firm. Her excellent writing skills come from her role as editor of school papers for years while still in school. She has consistently taken on the task of writing numerous articles about important IP issues during her stint with the Firm. She has also delivered lectures on IP topics to students, lawyers, and other professionals.
- RESPONSIBILITIES
Ms. Carlota counsels clients on a variety of trademark issues, from application and registration to oppositions and petitions for cancellation.
Ms. Carlota is also involved in trademark prosecution and trademark clearance, reviewing trademark search reports and trademark applications prior to filing, and rendering opinions and providing advice to clients at every stage of the process.
- EDUCATION
Ms. Carlota graduated cum laude from the Ateneo de Manila University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Management, minoring in International Business and Spanish. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of the Philippines College of Law in 2016, and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2017.
